VF Communities terms

Effective October 29, 2026Version 1

These terms are for people who run a Discord server and apply to have it listed in VF Communities. They sit next to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and the community guide walks through every step on Discord

1. What VF Communities is

VF Communities is the directory of Rocket Racing Discord servers at /community. A server that applies and is accepted gets a card in that directory and its own page, and our bot, VF Relay, puts the announcements from its public Announcement channels on that page, images and reactions included. A few servers are listed by Vision Force by hand, and those keep the join link we set for them

There is no fee and nothing to buy. We never ask for money, tokens or your Discord password. The bot only asks for View Channels and Read Message History

2. Who can apply

  • The server is about Rocket Racing, or is a Rocket Racing creator, league, team, track-building or speedrunning community. A bigger Fortnite or Rocket League server with an active Rocket Racing part can apply too
  • It has Discord's Community features switched on, a rules channel everyone can see, and at least one Announcement channel that @everyone can view
  • No NSFW or age-restricted servers or announcement channels, no cheats, leaks, scams, hate or harassment, and the server follows Discord's Community Guidelines
  • You apply from a Vision Force account with an email address and a username, and with your Discord account linked to it. That Discord account must be the server's owner, or hold Administrator or Manage Server there. If you are not the one who will add the bot, someone who has Manage Server adds it after we say yes

3. Applying

  • You paste an invite made from your Announcement channel. It must never expire and must not be a vanity link, because a vanity name can change hands. Everything we know about the server comes from what Discord says about that invite, never from what is typed, and nothing is stored for an invite that does not work or when Discord does not answer
  • Automatic checks run as you type and again when you send. If the invite never expires, is not a vanity link, comes from an Announcement channel, the server has Community switched on, is not marked NSFW and accepts invites, the application goes to the queue. If not, it is auto-rejected: we email you the list of what to fix and you can send it again as soon as it is fixed, with no wait. Other checks, such as how old the server is, how active it looks and whether the person who made the invite is you, are only there to help the person reading it
  • A person reads every application and we answer every one by email. We may approve it, turn it down with a note saying why, or edit the name and the one line shown on your card when we approve it
  • One application per server. If another member of the server applies while yours is open, their answers are kept on your application and the team works out with you, by email, who runs the server. Staff can hand an application over to that member
  • You can have three servers waiting at once and send five applications a day. After a no, you can apply for that server again after 14 days; after a listing is revoked, after 30 days. That wait follows your linked Discord account as well as your Vision Force account. Staff can also decide that a server may not apply again
  • What we keep about the server, about you and about anyone else who applies for it, and who sees it, is set out in the Privacy Policy. The answers you write go through our word filter like a post, because they can end up on a public page

4. After we say yes

  • The approval lasts 30 days. Add VF Relay within that time; we remind you once after three days, and an approval that runs out without the bot is closed and can be sent again
  • Once the bot is in, it checks the server before anything is shown: that the Discord account you linked runs it, that your Announcement channels are visible to @everyone and readable by the bot, that the server is not marked NSFW and that it still has Community and a rules channel. If something is wrong we email you what to fix
  • VF Relay must not hold more than it needs. While it has Administrator, Manage Server, Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Manage Webhooks, Manage Messages, Kick Members, Ban Members or Timeout Members, its relay is paused until that is removed. Keep its role and do not deny it on your announcement channel
  • Some things wait for a last look from a member of staff before your page goes live, even after they are fixed: a server owner's Discord account younger than 30 days, announcement channels with no post in the last 90 days, a rules channel that is not public, or a server where the only proof that you run it is the optional Discord sign-in
  • Probation. We can choose, when we approve, that for the first 14 days every new post and every edit waits for a person to check it before it shows. It ends early once staff have let through ten held posts
  • If the owner of the server changes after it went live, the relay pauses until we have looked. It also pauses if the person who applied deletes their Vision Force account or is banned

5. What VF Relay does

  • It reads your public Announcement channels and nothing else, the ones @everyone can view. Staff-only and age-restricted ones are skipped, and staff can switch off any one of them for you. The one exception is that someone at supermod level or above can choose to relay an Announcement channel @everyone cannot view, and that choice is logged; an age-restricted channel is never relayed
  • It never posts, never DMs and never moderates
  • It leaves any server that has not applied, except that it stays for up to 14 days in a server whose application is waiting on us. A server we turn down or revoke is left as well
  • It works by asking Discord on a schedule and when someone opens a community page, not by staying connected. New posts, edits, reactions and deletions of your recent announcements show up within a few minutes; changes to older posts can take a few days, when it checks them again

6. What is relayed and shown

For each announcement, VF Relay keeps and shows:

  • its text, its images, files and embeds, its stickers by name, a poll's question, and the number of each reaction, never who reacted
  • the poster's Discord display name and avatar. We also keep their Discord ID, which is not shown on the page: it is how posts are grouped by poster and how staff can mute one poster. Posts sent through a webhook or by an app are shown as that
  • the names of people, roles and channels a post mentions, so a mention reads as a name instead of a number
  • when it was posted and edited, and a link that opens it on Discord

The first time it reads a channel it brings in at most the ten newest posts, never older history. Posts that reach your channel by following another server's channel, or that are forwarded from another server, are not shown: that server can apply itself. Discord's own system messages are hidden. Staff can mute a poster, an app or a webhook so their posts are not relayed

Your card shows the server's name, icon and the line you wrote, its member and online counts, and two colours we take from your server icon, or from its banner or splash when the icon is grey. We keep those colours and the image's address, not the image. We also keep a daily count of members and online members so the page can show how a server grows

Everything on your page is public. Community pages can be read by anyone without an account and are listed for search engines, and the feed those pages read from can be fetched by anyone

7. Screening and held posts

Being approved is not the end of review. Every new post, and every edit, is screened before anyone sees it: by our word filter, and by checks for @everyone or @here next to a link off Discord, an invite to a different server, a seventh post from the server within an hour, and a webhook calling itself Vision Force, VF or Epic Games. A post that trips one is held, hidden until a moderator lets it through, and an edit that trips one holds it again. Nobody is punished for it: the poster is not an account here. Moderators can also hide any relayed post by hand

8. Images

We do not keep copies of relayed images. A page shows up to four images per post, and embed images, straight from Discord's own servers, so the viewer's browser loads them from Discord. Discord's image links stop working after about a day, so VF Relay reads a post with images again before its links run out, which keeps them working for as long as the post is on Discord. If a link runs out anyway, or an image does not load, the page shows a placeholder picture that opens the post on Discord instead. Videos, audio and other files are shown by name and size, as a link that opens the post on Discord

When a post is deleted on Discord, it disappears from our pages. The text of a deleted post, and the rest of what we kept about it, stays in our database, hidden from everyone. If an earlier version of the relay copied any of its images into our public-read storage, those copies are deleted with it, or 30 days later if staff had hidden or held it, in case something was wrong with it

Posts copied by our older relay, before VF Relay took over, are deleted from our database rather than carried over, so every listed server starts fresh

9. Content licence

  • Your server's announcements stay yours, and the posts in them stay their authors'
  • By applying, you confirm that you run the server, or act for the people who do, and that you may let us show its announcements. You grant Vision Force a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to copy, store, display and reproduce the announcements of the channels we relay, with the names, avatars and images in them, on our community pages and in the feed those pages read from, for as long as the server is listed
  • That license ends for a post when it is deleted on Discord, and for the whole server when its listing ends, except for the hidden records we keep as sections 8 and 11 describe and the copies in our nightly backups until they age out
  • If you believe something relayed onto our site infringes your rights, email contact@visionforceofficial.com and we will review it and, where appropriate, remove it promptly

10. Your server's members

The people who post in your announcement channels may never have heard of Vision Force. Please let them know that those channels are shown on a public page here. Anyone whose posts were relayed can ask us about them, as the Privacy Policy explains

11. Leaving, and being removed

  • To leave, tell us at contact@visionforceofficial.com, or kick the bot. Kicking it stops the relay reading your server, and we email you that it is gone, but the posts already relayed stay on your page until you tell us you want to leave
  • When a listing ends, the bot leaves the server and the relay stops. We can also hide the posts it relayed while the server was listed. Hidden posts stay in our database; ask us if you want them deleted
  • We can pause or end a listing when a server stops following these terms or the Community Guidelines, when the relay finds something it cannot check, or when the owner changes. A pause keeps the page and stops the relay; ending it revokes the listing. We tell you by email, with a note, so a no is never silent. Someone at supermod level or above makes that call
  • We email you if your invite or join link stops working or starts opening a different server. You can change your join link from the apply page, as long as it is for the same server, never expires and is not a vanity link
  • We may pause the whole relay, or shut VF Communities down, at any time
