Terms of Service

Effective October 29, 2026Version 16Accepted by every member

These are our Terms of Service, written in plain language so they can actually be read. They are one of several documents that work together:

Where one of the others covers a topic in detail, these terms point to it rather than repeat it

1. Who we are and what this covers

Vision Force Studio is a fan team of community volunteers running a hobby project. These terms cover visionforceofficial.com and everything on it:

  • the studio site at the front, with project documentation, news, a directory of our Discord communities, a contact page and these documents, all readable without an account
  • VF Communities, the part of that directory where Rocket Racing Discord servers apply at /community/apply to be listed and to have their announcements shown on their own page by our VF Relay bot, as the VF Communities terms explain
  • the Rocket Racing Revive community hub at /rrr, which holds the roadmap, suggestions, the community board, profiles and account settings, and which needs an account for all of it: only the entry screen and the pages that get you into an account, such as sign-in, invitations, email confirmation and password recovery, open without one
  • our creator programme at create.visionforceofficial.com, whose application form lives at visionforceofficial.com/create/apply
  • the pages of Meridian, our launcher, at meridian.visionforceofficial.com
  • our status page at status.visionforceofficial.com

Our projects are Vaelora Velocity, a fan-made racing game built in Unreal Engine 5; LUX3, a collection of track recreations built in UEFN; and Project Overdrive, formerly called Rocket Racing Reborn, a preservation project that keeps the original Rocket Racing playable, which the Project Overdrive access terms cover on their own

We also run the Rocket Racing Archive at rocketracingarchive.com. It is a separate static site with no accounts and no sign-in, but its contribution form sends what you write to us, and mail sent to the archive's own contact address reaches us as well, so the Privacy Policy explains what happens to that. Letters the archive sends you carry a send-only reply address, so a reply is rejected and bounces straight back to you rather than reaching us. Use the form again if you need to add something

This is a non-commercial fan project. There are no ads, no paid features and nothing on this site is sold. A personal tip link is offered in the hub footer; it is voluntary, buys no feature, rank or advantage, and the site works exactly the same whether or not you use it. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc. or Psyonix LLC. "Rocket Racing", "Fortnite", "Unreal Engine", and all related names, logos, and assets are the property of Epic Games, Inc. or their respective owners

By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to have an account on this site. Creating an account requires confirming that you meet that minimum age
  • Accounts we find to belong to someone under 16 are removed. Content posted from them is taken down by hand, because nothing removes it automatically, so tell us if you see something we have missed
  • You create an account by signing in with a Google, Discord or GitHub account. We do not open new accounts from an email address and password. If your account has a password, you can also sign in with your email address or username and that password. Passwords are stored only as a salted bcrypt hash, so we cannot read your password, and no password is stored at all when you sign in with a provider
  • If you signed in with a provider you can add a password later from Profile > Sign-in and security, and then sign in either way. Your provider stays connected
  • If you add a passkey, you can sign in with it alone. Your device confirms you with a fingerprint, face scan or PIN, your browser signs a one-time challenge, and we check the signature. No password is involved and the passkey's private key never leaves your device
  • Signing in starts a session that lasts 24 hours from your last visit. The clock resets every time you load a page, so it is an inactivity timeout rather than a hard limit: stay away longer than 24 hours and you will be asked to sign in again
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your credentials private, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised
  • One account per person. Do not create accounts to impersonate others, evade a mute or ban, or manipulate votes. We may reclaim usernames that impersonate a person or project

3. Community rules and moderation

The site exists so fans can share work, feedback, and ideas. The Community Guidelines list what you agree not to do here and explain how moderation works, including the automated word filter and the bans that also block the IP addresses and device signatures an account has been seen from. They are part of these terms

4. Your content and licenses

  • You own what you post. Posts, comments, suggestions, and uploaded media (avatars, banners, images, videos) remain yours
  • By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and reproduce that content as needed to operate the site, for example showing your post to other members
  • Deleting a post, comment or suggestion hides it rather than erases it. It stops being shown on the site, and the display part of that license ends there. We keep the stored copy in the database. A deleted post stays visible to staff in the admin tools and can be put back if the removal was a mistake. A deleted comment or suggestion is kept but shown to nobody, staff included, so it cannot be restored from the site. Copies also sit in nightly backups until those age out, as the Privacy Policy describes. If you want something you posted erased rather than hidden, ask us at contact@visionforceofficial.com
  • Content posted in the hub is visible to every signed-in member. The pages that hold member content cannot be read by visitors who are not signed in, and they are kept out of search engines, but anyone can open a free account, so treat anything you post as public: any member can read it, quote it or screenshot it
  • Uploaded files are the exception. Avatars, banners and media attached to posts sit in public-read storage, so a file is reachable by anyone who has its address, signed in or not, as the Privacy Policy describes
  • Only post content you created or have permission to share. We may remove any content that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe creates a problem for the project
  • If you send us ideas or suggestions for the project, we may use them without obligation or compensation. That is what the suggestions board is for
  • Announcements relayed from a Discord server by VF Relay, and the tracks volunteers build in the creator programme, have their own terms: the VF Communities terms and the Creator programme terms

5. Intellectual property

  • "Rocket Racing", "Fortnite", "Unreal Engine", "UEFN", and all related characters, vehicles, tracks, names, logos, and assets are the intellectual property of Epic Games, Inc. and, where applicable, Psyonix LLC. Their appearance in community content does not transfer any rights, and all fan-made content on this site is provided for non-commercial community purposes only
  • Vaelora Velocity and LUX3 are unofficial fan creations and are not endorsed by Epic Games. We do not extract, port, or reuse Epic Games assets or code in them
  • Original works remain their creators' own. The site's own source code, design, layout, branding, logos, artwork, animations, and the coded 3D globe and interface belong to Vision Force Studio; each member's original content belongs to that member. You are welcome to browse and use the site as intended, but you may not copy, scrape, rip, reuse, redistribute, sell, or pass off any of it, ours or another member's, as your own without written permission. Stealing assets or content is not allowed
  • If you are a rights holder and believe content on this site infringes your rights, email contact@visionforceofficial.com and we will review the material and, where appropriate, remove it promptly. That includes anything relayed from a Discord server onto a VF Communities page

6. Applying for anything on the site

Three things on the site are asked for rather than simply used: a place in the creator programme, access to Project Overdrive, and a listing in VF Communities. Each has its own document, and these rules are common to all three:

  • Applications belong to a Vision Force account. You need to be signed in, your account needs an email address, because every answer we give arrives by email, and it needs a username, because that is what the team sees in the queue. A VF Communities application also needs your Discord account linked to your Vision Force account, because that is how we check that you run the server
  • A person reads every application and we answer every one by email. Being approved gives you only what that programme's own document says it gives, and it can be withdrawn under that document
  • One live application at a time. You have one creator application and one Project Overdrive request; applying again after a no edits the same one instead of adding a second, and the team can see how many times you have asked. A Discord server has one application, whoever sends it
  • There are limits on how often you can ask. Creator applications and Project Overdrive requests can be sent three times a day, and a rejected creator application can be sent again after 14 days. VF Communities allows five applications a day and three servers waiting at once, and a server you were turned down for can be sent again by you after 14 days, or 30 days if its listing was revoked
  • Tell the truth. Do not apply for a server you do not run, do not pretend to be someone else, and do not apply from a second account to get around a wait. The VF Communities wait also follows the Discord account you link, so a new Vision Force account with the same Discord does not reset it
  • The send button checks a few things first. Our application forms send when you press and hold the button. While it holds, your browser asks our server whether sending would work: that you are still signed in, that your account is not restricted, that it has an email address, whether your device clock is far off, whether your browser's time zone matches the one your network suggests, and whether your address is one we already know belongs to a data centre. Only the first three can stop a send. The others are shown to you as notes and recorded as a yes or no, as the Privacy Policy explains
  • The answers you write to a VF Communities application go through the same automated word filter as a post, because they can end up on a public page. Creator applications and Project Overdrive requests are read by a person and are not screened

7. Project Overdrive and Meridian

Project Overdrive, the game, its access keys and Meridian, our free Windows launcher, have their own terms: the Project Overdrive access terms. They explain what the launcher changes on your computer while you play, what you are actually running, and where the game's servers are. Read them before you install anything. You never need the game or the launcher to use this site

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • This is a volunteer hobby project. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose
  • We may change, suspend, or shut down the site, or any part of it, at any time. Please keep your own copies of anything you care about
  • Content posted by members reflects the views of its authors, not of the project team. The same goes for announcements relayed from a Discord server: they are that server's words, not ours
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law

9. Changes and contact

  • We may update these terms, or any of the documents listed at the top, from time to time. Material changes are announced on the site, and when a new version of these terms or of the Privacy Policy is published you will be asked, before continuing to use your account, to agree to the new terms or to confirm that you have read the new Privacy Policy. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms
  • The current version of every document is always available on the Legal pages of this site
  • One address for everything that needs a human: questions, account deletion, moderation and ban appeals, security reports, rights-holder complaints and privacy requests all go to contact@visionforceofficial.com. It is shown on our contact page, which you can reach without signing in and while you are banned

By continuing to use Vision Force Projects, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms
