The Reality Cross
The moment Rocket Racing left the Fortnite Loop
An Vision Force UEFN live event, 6 October 2026

Overview#
The Reality Cross is a live event we are building in UEFN, which just means an island inside Fortnite. It is not a game mode and it is not part of Vaelora Velocity. It is technically because we will show how the project idea came to us. It is the story of how Vaelora Velocity came to exist, and that story is one night where one reality got pulled out of Fortnite and became its own game.
We havent shipped the live event map yet. Everything here is the plan as it stands. Written so anyone can follow it, including people who never played Fortnite.
Vision Force is a fan studio. This event is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games.
What this is not#
This page is lore. That is the whole of it.
We are not extracting assets for Vaelora Velocity. We are not using Epic Games code, and nothing from Fortnite is being ported, copied or shipped into our game. Vaelora Velocity is built from scratch in Unreal Engine 5 with our own work.
The extraction you read about below happens in the story. It is a thing that happens to characters, in fiction, the same way a heist happens in a film. It is not a description of anything we do to Fortnite.
Images and voice lines on this page belong to Epic Games. They are credited, and the audio is linked to the Fortnite Wiki rather than hosted here.
Lore only. No Epic Games assets or code are used in Vaelora Velocity.
If you never played Fortnite#
Four things carry the whole story. This is the ground lore of Fortnite by Epic, and they have been in Fortnite for years. If you already know them, you can skip this section.
- The Zero Point
- Epic calls it “an orb of pure energy, thought to be the origin of all reality.” Think of it like a plug socket that every reality is plugged into. It burns blue when it is stable and goes purple then red when it is not. It is also the reason Batman, Darth Vader and Pealy can BE on the same island without anyone explaining it.
- The Loop
- A 22 minute time loop around the island. Everything resets and the loopers (You, the player) lose your memory what your character has experienced during the match, which is the in fiction reason a Fortnite match can repeat forever with the same people. 22 minutes because that is about how long a match lasts.
- Zero Point Shards
- The Zero Point got shattered and the pieces landed in different realities. On the map they showed up as big tilted slabs of silver, pink giant crystal, and each one dragged a chunk of its own reality with it. The ground near one froze. The ground near another lost most of its gravity. That last part matters later.
- The Imagined Order
- “For many thousands of years, we have stood in power,” said Dr Slone, the first time we heard about her and about the whole organisation. The Imagined Order is the group that ran the Zero Point and the Loop for longer than anyone can check. They are the ones who kept the island resetting, kept the memories wiped, and treated the origin of all reality like equipment they owned. Their leader is Geno. He wants the Zero Point whole and under his control, he is almost never on screen, and he might return in the Reality Cross experience.

Where this sits#
Fortnite's own story ran ahead of us while this was being written, and honestly that helped. So, shortly said, somebody spent seven months putting the Zero Point back together, actually managed it, and then could not hold it as is for a long time.
- 29 Nov 2025Zero Hour. The Dark Voyager takes the first Zero Point Shard. The live event that ended Chapter 6 and started Chapter 7.
- Dec 2025 to May 2026He hunts the rest across other realities, one at a time.Quest text at the time: “still trying to fuse those Zero Point shards.”
- Our event sits hereThe Reality Cross. He comes for the final shard. We are already there. Before he had all seven, and before Shattered. Same reality, same shard, different reasons.
- 5 June 2026Shattered. The seventh shard goes in and the Zero Point reforms. He poured a massive amount of energy into it, the loopers disturbed the process, and the failure came back out as a blast that tore the island into the Shattered Coast.
- NowReforged, and unstable. The fractured Zero Point has been reforged, but its instability is throwing off powerful Sprites. Via Epic Games.
- Hope“Hey, Jones. It looks like the Dark Voyager's still trying to fuse those Zero Point shards.”VO_BR_S40AudioLogs_Hope_03_011.wav
- Jones“Yeah, well, good luck. You have any idea how much power something like that would take?”VO_BR_S40AudioLogs_Jones_03_011.wav
- Hope“Hopefully more than he has.”VO_BR_S40AudioLogs_Hope_03_021.wav
- Jones“Hopefully more than anyone has.”VO_BR_S40AudioLogs_Jones_03_020.wav
- Jones“Because if he gets full control of the Zero Point... it's over.”VO_BR_S40AudioLogs_Jones_03_031.wav

He rebuilt the Zero Point. He didnt managed to stabilised it. The Loopers disturbed the process.
What we actually do that night#
The Dark Voyager goes to one reality to collect the final shard. It is the same reality we want Del Mar out of, so we collide, and we fight for it.
We get what we came for. Something else in the shard gets corrupted on the way out, and that has consequences you will read about below. Then he slaps us hard and takes the shard with him anyway.
The important part is what extraction means here. We made a COPY through our extraction device. The original Del Mar stayed inside the Zero Point Shard, so the Dark Voyager does not really notice a difference, and the anti cheat does not start attacking its own reality. We are for the good and for our own goals.
It will be a multiplayer experience. The map will be joinable 7 hours before the event starts.
The shard#
Every shard anyone recovered carried a piece of the world it came from. Ours carries three, and all three are places people actually played.
Each one is listed under the codename Epic used for it internally, not the name on the storefront. Think of it like the difference between what a thing is called in the shop and what it is called internally. Vaelora Velocity is a story about the internal part, but we pictured it and made a UEFN live event so you can understand it better.
We take one. That restraint is the whole point of the event, and it is why one mode leaves and the others stay exactly where they are.
- Del Mar
- Rocket Racing. The one we extract.
- Sparks
- Fortnite Festival. Left alone.
- Pilgrim
- Fortnite Festival Battle Stage.
- FeralCorgi
- Ballistic. Left alone.

What happens#
Two people want the same shard for opposite reasons, and something much older and much more powerful tries to protect it. The Anti Cheat.
- The shard is found. Three realities inside it, whole and still running.
- Then the extraction begins. Someone helps who does not have a name yet, so we will call her She. She is one of the very few who could extract and control the Zero Point, and she does not work for Geno like the Dark Voyager does. Her name gets revealed during the event. She is one of the Voyagers too, but she is not a villain like the Dark Voyager.
- The Dark Voyager wants the same shard. He is not really an enemy, more a competitor. He needs it for Geno and he was going to get there eventually anyway. This is a race, not a fight.
- The Anti Cheat sees exactly what it looks like from the inside, which is something being taken out of the game that is not supposed to leave. It moves to stop it.
- The extraction works. Del Mar leaves the Loop. On the other side it is not Rocket Racing anymore. It is Vaelora Velocity, standalone, Unreal Engine 5, not connected to Fortnite anymore. Since the extraction was just a copy, it can have serious consequences on the final result. Vaelora Velocity might turn out completely different from Rocket Racing. No one truly understands the true power of the Zero Point. It is the most powerful thing in the whole metaverse.
- A piece of the anti cheat comes through with us, dragged along while it was trying to stop the extraction. Vaelora Velocity is under danger.

What came through with us#
That piece of the powerful creature, the anti cheat, is called Ouros in the Vaelora Velocity reality. A small bit of the thing that guards the metaverse, torn off at the moment of the crossing and dragged into a reality it was never built for. This can lead to massive consequences.
It shows up weak in Vaelora Velocity. It has no power and it does not recognise any code of the new reality. It is a very small part of what it used to be, but it is an artificial intelligence that adapts relatively fast, and it gets stronger anyway across Vaelora Velocity's first season.
This is why the event is not a prologue. Vaelora Velocity's first villain was not invented for the game. It was earned at the crossing, and it wants to complete what it failed to do, which is to protect the metaverse from us breaking the fundamental laws of the universe. Vaelora Velocity might be destroyed if we fail to stop it.
The name is older than the story. The globe on the Vision Force front door has been the Ouro globe since way before any of this got written down.
What it cost#
Pulling Del Mar out corrupted the two realities left in the shard. They got flagged as corrupt and deleted.
In fiction, that is what happened to the Festival battle stage and to Ballistic game modes.
